Hide your yaoi/yuri/het manga stashes folks!
'Cause some dipshit's trying to make having them illegal in some cases. Oh no!

Check this out

Any manga fan familiar with the many rules and regulations to naughty bits in our favorite non-animated japanese product, knows that there are certain things you just can't show in manga in Japan.

So because of this some lame ass probably can't get none inspector guy wants to make it felonious for us to own anything that might be questionable in the states? Who decides what's questionable? Anything not straight? Anything straight where the people involved don't look at least 30 to be on the safe side?

.... buh the state of our current society is horrendous.

And yeah. Public post is public.

That is pretty lame, but I doubt it'll happen. And hey, there will always be doujin. >Dd

Ugh...

Child pornography photos require one to actually torment and exploit a real person to create.

Nude anime and manga pictures are just drawings coming out of someone's imagination. No one is being hurt regardless of who is depicted. And besides, age is at times a difficult thing to tell in that style.

Uber conservative types wouldn't know this now would they? They're too busy hiding from all the things that make thim uncomfortable to learn about them typically. >_>

I'm not biased on this at all... noooo of course not.

Yeah, that's what ultimately turned me off of conservatism after being indoctrinated with it for so long...The sense of rabid paranoia, that everything remotely unusual is dangerous and needs to be kept outside the bubble of familiarity.

Wut. This is incredibly moronic.

Did something like this happen in Australia, though?
[identity profile] lumati.livejournal.com on November 27th, 2008 02:02 am (UTC)
I have no idea.

They keep mentioning Australia but I'm not familiar with the event at all.

I'm not too sure on the details, but a lot of fictional "underage" stuff has been banned. And there's something weird going on with the internet there too, where they might make it impossible to get to restricted websites, rather than just illegal.

Fun times huh?

Geeze this is ridiculous.
