Ugh. Got my History mid-term in just now and let me repeat that. Ugh. At least I didn’t fail I suppose. I got a 75.5 out of 100 though that was with a +3 from a grading curve.
Test was horrible. Most of the stuff I studied wasn’t on the damned thing so I kind of had to flail about for answers. If anyone here remembers anything about U.S. history I confused some doozies like mixing the Battle of Washita River Valley and the Battle of Wounded Knee. It was just a complete and utter mess.
But hey, I passed so… I guess it’s no big deal. I’ll just have to study better for the final. Now, to finish the essay that’s due Saturday. I’ve only got the first two pages done but I’m worried perhaps my tone is a little too informal for a college essay? I mean it is about personal experiences with a myth/legend/folktale so the fact that I talk about… I allot should be fine right? I’ll go ahead and insert what I’ve got here for y’all to see but I’ll put it behind a cut. It is two typed pages so far after all.
( She chanted words of love and joy, as these sounds fell to Earth the flowers and trees were born. )
I avoid SRW like the plague now that I've grown and learned better, but the myth has stayed in a soft spot in my heart.
