Writer's Block: B.Y.O.B. Holidays

[Error: unknown template qotd]

I only have the one on Amazon currently, it's located here: My Wishlist.

It's a list made up entirely of books. It's got cook books, YA fantasy (O.R. Melling, Victoria Hanley, and more), a few books on magic, goddess theory, some of the sailor moon/sailor v re-release, and did I mention cook books? I've got cookbooks that focus on cuisine from a whole bunch of different countries: Japan, China, Wales, Ireland, England, and I think maybe one or two more.

I mean don't get me wrong. There are other things I'd love 0 Dragon Age 2 and Sims 3 anyone? But on the whole I'm pretty good right now. Or I will be once I get a new laptop

Okay, since I am an newb at this stuff and I know some of you are leet, awesome people with lots of real world experience.

How does shipping things work? Because everywhere I look at shipping things overseas it keeps trying to say that even the smallest of packages would cost over $70 to ship? WHAT AM I DONG WRONGGGG? ;A;

I'm asking because my mother got me to set up a "Box of Louisiana"
for the [livejournal.com profile] help_japan auctions, but she's confessed to being worried about international shipping charges. Since the current high bidder is from Malaysia I'm unsure as to how much a box of random junk would actually cost to ship.

PS: Current total of potential money earned for charity? $45. I know it's not much, but it still feels like I'm actually accomplishing something for once.
